Iris Wright-Hart
Iris Wright-Hart grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where she lives with her devoted husband, Jeffrey Hart. For over 45 years, she has been a loving wife and dedicated mother of four, taking great pride in her six grandchildren, her work as an early childhood educator, and her active ministry as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. A standout memory—winning the 200-meter hurdles at the 1977 Maryland State Championship—still fuels the passion she brings to her work and relationships today. Like the iris flower for which she is named, Iris symbolizes faith, courage, hope, and wisdom—qualities she strives to embody and share, especially with Sickle Cell Warriors.
