JaLisa A. Jones
JaLisa A. Jones is a passionate minister, licensed professional counselor, and community leader from South Hill, Virginia, now residing in Richmond. With a deep love for helping others heal and grow as disciples, she serves as an Associate Minister at Churchland North Baptist Church in Portsmouth, Virginia, under the leadership of Pastor Melvin O. Jiggetts.

JaLisa integrates ministry and mental health counseling, guided by her belief that faith and therapy are deeply interconnected. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she specializes in helping individuals and families break cycles, overcome challenges like anxiety, depression, and trauma, and discover their God-given potential.
In 2021, she founded the Purposeful H.E.R. Foundation, a nonprofit devoted to empowering women and girls to heal and thrive. She’s also the creator and co-host of the podcast Cranberry Juice in a Wine Glass, where real-life struggles meet faith and accountability.

When she’s not counseling or ministering, JaLisa is a gifted singer with a rich gospel music background, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and an all-around lover of crab legs, poetry, and quality time with loved ones.

JaLisa’s mission is simple yet powerful: to bridge gaps and break strongholds through the lens of theology and therapy; helping others find healing, hope, and freedom in Christ.
