Pheona Charles-Atkins lives in the DMV area and is an author dedicated to inspiring young minds. She proudly honors her Guyanese roots while thriving in American literature and culture. Her work centers on empowering children and celebrates diversity, resilience, and the power of dreaming big.

A cum laude graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus, Pheona also earned an honors associate degree in Paralegal Studies from Prince George’s Community College. Her educational path reflects a commitment to excellence, lifelong learning, and service—values she brings to her writing and to the children and families she serves.
