Aina Manchanda-Izquierdo

Sarah-Jane is a high school student with a love for literature and the arts. She lives in Maryland with her parents, her spoiled orange cat, and a mountain of stuffed animals.

Since fifth grade, she has enjoyed writing stories about many different topics, especially realistic fiction focused on mental health and animals. She also enjoys writing poetry.

When she’s not writing or reading a good book, Sarah-Jane enjoys drawing, baking, and working with clay. She cares deeply about mental health and helping others through difficult moments, and she hopes this story brings comfort to children experiencing grief and loss.

She has been writing stories for as long as she can remember, and her first published work, a short story, appeared in the literary magazine Our Voice when she was in seventh grade.

When she isn’t writing, Aina enjoys singing, playing soccer, painting, and reading. She is a strong advocate for mental health and hopes this story encourages open and compassionate conversations about grief, love, and loss.
